" Hey You Redskins..."

So, now that football is finally over, Josh has moved on to coaching Basketball. It is not quite as intense as football, but still very time consuming. So since the games started three weeks ago, the girlies and I have been going to all the home games. The girls arent much into the game, but they love to watch the cheerleaders. Bailey especially likes to cheer. She will yell out "Hey you Redskins, rise up to victory!" That is part of her fave cheer. (Redskins are our mascot.) She learns new cheers each time we go though. So last night A few of the cheerleaders made Callie and Baileys day by letting them and a couple other little girls hold their pom poms on the sidelines. They were all so cute. When they started a cheer the little girls would stand up and try to follow along with the arm movements.

Then at halftime Bailey put on her own little sideshow dancing to whatever song the band was playing. A good time was had by all.

A real tree!

On Moday night for FHE we went and cut down our Christmas tree. We went as soon as Josh got home which was 5:30, but it was of course already dark out. Josh wanted to do it That night anyway. I love having a real tree. Until we moved here last year we always had a fake tree that My in laws gave us and I hated it. But, it was free and we are poor. So when we moved here I was so excited because you can just pay five bucks for a Christmas tree permit and go in the mountains and cut one down. Yay.
So Joshs folks live right by a canyon and we just drove up there and looked for something decent looking off the side of the road. Bailey was so cute. She was so scared to be driving in the woods at night. The silly thing is though she was just sitting in the truck the whole time. Maybe it was because Callie was telling us about grizzly bears.
We went to Grandmas and Grandpas after getting and thats where we took these pictures. we all look ridiculous in all of them, which I think is pretty hilarious.
This last one is from at Grandmas, the girls had Fat Boys for dessert. She seemed to get alot worse after the pic was taken.

Out in the Country!

It has been a while since I last Posted. It seems like forever, but it has been a really not so exciting month. The Kiddies both had the stomach flu at the same time, which was so not fun especially because they are both little and we only have one toilet. Josh and I never got the flu though so that was good. So and yeah ever since then the kids and Josh have all been sick on and off with various things. Josh even missed Thanksgiving dinner over at his Aunt Cheryls house. We had a really good pumpkin cheesecake thing and a very exciting game of Fact or Crap, which really isnt that fun of a game. On to other excitment a couple weeks ago on a saturday I looked out the back window to see this in the above picture. You probably cant tell what it is because it is a horrible picture, but there was a fox in the field right behind us. That totally freaks me out. I was thinking geez I let my kids play out there and theres just foxes running around. But , my Father in law says they wouldnt hurt anyone probably just the cats. I am okay with that!
Then On Sunday we were getting ready for church and I looked out the front window and saw a herd (or whatever ) of cows going down the road. keep in mind, we live right on the Highway. Only in a small town I guess.

Grandma Sandys Chrismas Gift

So I have been trying to think of things to get my mother-in-law for Christmas and I had a few okay ideas. I dont think she reads blogs or knows I have one and so I thought it wouold be okay to put her maybe gift on here. And if she does read then, sorry Sandy you may not be surprised for Christmas .
Last night I was looking on Anthropologie online and they have such cute stuff. I want it all. But I was looking in their holiday stuff and saw this apron:
I know it is way small, but hopefully you can see how cute it is, and it even has a matching hot pad. So I dont even know if she wears or likes aprons. I tried asking Callie because she has baked with her, but she didnt know. So after seeing this one I decided to look at some other aprons. Here are some I liked from Heavenly Hostess:The first two are actually gardening aprons, which she does work in the garden, I mean ya know in the summer and stuff, and they have hair bands to coordinate with some of their aprons. Both the gardening ones had one to match. The last two are for the kitchen . They also have a lot of other really cute ones, but they are really pricey.

Then there is one at Domestic Darlings. This one is pretty cute and also has a matching head band. They also have a matching kids apron which is really cute. I dont really bake or anything very much and I am not much of an apron wearer, but there are such cute aprons out there I think even I would wear one. So what do you all think. Do you like the apron gift idea or should I go a whole different direction. And if you like the aprons, which one ? I welcome all other Mother-in -law gift ideas. Thanks for the help.

Happy Halloween!

Here are the Girlies in their little costumes. In case you cant tell Bailey is a Bee and Callie is some kind of pink fluffy puppy. Grandma and Grandpa Stewart came over tonight to check out the costumes and we decided to go out to eat together. We went to the Royal Wolf which is this local pubb and it was sooo good. The top pic is at the pubb and the reason the girls look so thrilled is because they were both very impatient waiting for their food.
After din din we decided to just take the girls to Halloween on Main. It was just basically all the businesses on main street were open to go trick or treating to. So we got some candy and went. Bailey couldnt wait to get home to eat her candy she started a sucker in the car.

And then she would switch off with the sucker and other candy. Here she has the sucker in her mouth and a snickers in her hand. And done here is the two of them hogging out . The back of the bee has a little stinger which everyone seemed to get a kick out of. Thats it woo-hoo. I hope you all had a good Halloween!

Twilight

Okay so I have been reading this book, yep thats right I Michelle have voluntarily read a book. Which I didnt think was that big of a deal , but everytime Josh saw me reading it he was like, 'this is wierd I havent seen you reading like this before.' so I assured him that I have read books before though few and far between, I just havent finished any books. In fact I couldnt remember the last book I actually read all the way through. But, I did it, i read this book, the whole thing. I just finished about 20 mins. ago. Hoooray me! I have to say it was really good.(obviuosly or I would have stopped a long time ago.) A friend got it out and had me borrow it about a month ago which from what I hear is about 27 days longer than it has taken most people to read this book, but whatever. I do however since beginnning this book find myself suggesting that maybe so and so is a vampire, and other such comments. So thanks to other bloggers( Em and Morg) who have posted about these books. If I hadnt heard all that I had about it I probably wouldnt have opened the book after bringing it home. Who knows I may even read the next book, New Moon, in the future.

Other than that not much going on. We did finally name the kitties. Well, Callie did anyways. The fluffy one is Fluff. I know, I know, Original. and the other one is Lucky. I dont really know why, I think she thinks it is lucky for him that he got to come live at our house. Josh went hunting last night and got a Chicken, I think he actually called it a Grouse which I dont know what that means or if I spelled it right. Grandpa Craig Fried it up and we al had a taste. Josh and the girls liked it esp. Callie, I however though it was disgusting. it was too chewy and tasted yucky. Football has FINALLY ended, they had their last game on Fri. I am so glad to no longer be a football widow. But, in a week or two I will become a Basketball widow, as Josh will begin coaching the Freshman team. Hip Hip Hooray! So thats it thats all got.

Feeties

Bailey has a few of those soft pajamas with the feet that Zip up and Callie is way jealous and wants some . I have only been able to find them up to 5T. Callie is five but she is too tall for 5T. So does anyone know where to find them in a size 6? I know I have seen them for adults before, which would personally drive me crazy. My feet would suffocate. So if they have them in adults they must be out there for 6 year olds right?

Kitties

Well, Lucky us we got 2 Kitties. This was not my idea nor did I want them. Grandma Stewart has this cat named Dot (that is kind of a Skank) that keeps having babies. I think she had four the last time and Grandma has been trying to get us to say we will take some ever since Dot was pregnant. Well I have been firm about no I do not want any, but Josh and the kids wanted some. Last week Grandma was over and brought it up again cause she needed to get rid of some of the kitties, so after she left Josh guilted me into saying alright. They have to stay outside and Josh and Callie handle the feedings, so I really dont have to do anything with them, so I guess it is not so bad. I just realized while writing this that we havent really given them names yet. They are kind of wild cats and dont want us to touch or hold them . The Orange fluffy one would not eat in this pic because Bai and I were sitting to close.
This one is not as scared and Josh and Callie can catch him. Callie always grabs it by the back of the neck. It looks kinda funny cause he is not that little anymore. These big cat hanging by its neck It looks like it will choke or break or something. She handed it to me last not and it scratched me to death and so I am done holding cats.
Here the prettier, fluffier, scardier (is that a word) cat kept looking back while it was eating to make sure we werent getting closer. So these are our first pets. how fun. Ugh.

The Little Skittles House

Okay I would like to give a shout out to my girl Smelly ( that is my sis Dani, I dont know why we call her smells, as far as I know she does not have issues with B.O. or anything like that.) After my last post she left a comment on how at first in some of the pictures it looked like there was some nice wood flooring that matched our book shelves, but she later realized that oh no, that is not wood that is booty ugly burnt orange carpet. So , while we are not in love with our burnt orange which is in the living and dinning rooms as well as the hallway, that is so not the worst of it. Here in the Skittles house ( as our frinds and the previous renters used to call it) we have a array of colors. Let me take you on a tour:

So first we have this very attractive shag neon green carpeting which is located in the spare bedroom which we use as the office/ workout equip/ storage room.

Next we have the bathroom which besides being really small and have no drawers only cabinets isnt that bad except it has a strange choice in bath color as you can see the um blue, which does have a matching sink .

Then we move on to the Master Bedroom( if thats what you can call it) the carpet is a lighter blue which isnt all that bad but then you look up to the top of the blue walls to find these guys watching you. Thats right all the way around the room you will find a lovely wallpaper boarder with an enchanting scene of deere and bare bushes. I guess it is fall though huh?We also have a very Modern and chic Kitchen which is a good size, really, and what could beat yellow countertops with matching yellow sink. On to my personal favorite of the Dining an kitchen areas is the flowery wallpaper topped of with none other then these beautiful hens and well, wreaths.

But that Is not all my friends, oh not that is not all. You see I have saved the feature that tops all the rest. It can be found in the girls room. I am still dumbfounded at where and why you would find a carpet such as this.

That is correct it is some kind of scottish tartan pattern that looks like an ugly throw blanket. ?

But there is something about the house that is really, truly beautiful. It is not actually in the house, but here it is!

Thats right we have a beautiful four peak view right out back. We really do love our view, this shot was taken one morning when Bailey woke me up at here usual way to early time, and I was lucky enough to look out the back window just before the sun came up over the mountains. I put me in a slighty less onery mood.

I hope you have enjoyed this tour of our beautiful rental. Maybe after seeing that you can think about the place you may be in at this time and maybe, just maybe you can hate it a little less knowing that someone else out there is living in a wierder and less attractively decorated home.

A few cute pics

The Ladies like to dress up in my clothes and have me take pictures.

Callie wanted me to take an action shot!

Here is Callie doing more of her Model poses.
And here is Little sis trying to do the same pose. She cracks me up sometimes.
Here she is trying another pose.

This pic is hilarious she ran out of regular panties, so I had to put these on her which are really the kind that come with a dress and I just thought it looked so funny.

This one is a favorite of mine it is from about a year ago. We have this old Barbie house that my folks made for me and my sis when we were little and it has a little open spot for barbie to go done the stairs. So Bailey climbed in and tried to go down them and got stuck. I was laughing so hard. Oh and she is wearing a diaper, just so ya know.

Biggest Loser Upset ...

... Well at least for me. Okay so last night on BL the blue team went to elimination and Jerry got the boot! Uh, what were they thinking. You may remeber from my previous post that Jerry is me old man hero. He kicked everybodys butt the first week. He was the team captain and a very hard worker and they gave him the ax, I was so mad at the blue team. They must have thought that he was too big of a threat. Geez. But good for Jerry he went home and lost more weight and has now lost a total of 88 pounds. Lookin good Jerry, you rock old man.

Kindygardens 1st Fieldtrip!

Callie had her first fieldtrip last thursday. She came home with the permission slip about a week before and she told me there was a trip but that I had too much to do around the house so I cant go. I assured her that I would be able to make time in my busy schedule and I would be going. She tried to convince me that I had to much house work,(ha ha) but the only thing she convinced me of was that she didnt want her Mommy tagging along. It took a little time and a few more excuses like " but my friends dont know you and they might be scared," but I talked her into letting me go.

So on thursday I took Bailey to Grandmas and met up with the Kindergartoners for a fun filled trip to Teton Canyon to find signs of fall and enjoy nature. They split up all the kids so that each mom had a few and since there were so many moms we all got 2 or 3 kids. I got 2. Callie and Shelby. They each had a bag and a magnifying glass and had to find some interesting things to put in the bag for show and tell the next day. We ladies had a good time. Found some cool things, and had a nice little hike. We only had one, oh actually two falls on the rocks in the creek. One had no crying and the other had a very dramatic show ending in " I never want to come here again!" Ill give you a hint, it wasnt my kid. So, the group I was in charge of ended up with the only two wet , dirty butts on the trip. Thats what this pic is of. Can you tell? The one on top show Callies new love for modeling. Nice Pose, huh? There's plenty more where that came from.

Biggest Loser Premiere!

Okay so my favorite show was on last night and it was so awesome . For those of you that Dont watch (how can you not watch)- meet Jerry. Jerry is 62 years old which makes him pretty old and makes him the oldest biggest loser contestant thus far. The thing I like about Jerry is that kicked trash!
He was awesome! Not only did he win the race to the trainers to see who would be captain of the two teams, but then he lost 31 pounds at weigh in, making himself the highest one week weigh in loss in BL history! Way to go Jerry! Bobs team won the weigh in thank to Jerry and Kae. And Kims team sent home this chick (cant remember the name) who was the last person to get to the trainers in the race and , bless the red team captain, was picked for the team because she needed to be there obviously more than most the others. But she ended up getting sent home because by the end of the first workout( and Im sure more after that) she whined that she couldnt do it and wanted to go home. I mean come on!
The only thing I thought was lacking from the 2 hour show was that they did not show the secret Black teams initial weigh in. It was still awesome though! Cant wait til next time.

Homecoming Fun!

Last week was the high school homecoming, and with Josh being the freshman football coach we got to enjoy some of the festivities. Thursday was the freshman game, which sadly they lost.
After the Frosh game was the Powder Puff game between the Junior and Senior girls . The Seniors kicked butt. I must say I was very impressed with the girls football ability. I could never play as well as they did. There was a group of boys that filled in as cheerleaders and they were hilarious. They cheered the whole game and even did a halftime show. Some of them were very into it. There was one that looked like Jon Heder did in Blades of Glory.

This is Callie getting into the Excitement.

So then on Friday high school has a parade on Main Street which drew quite a crowd. Mostly it was the Elementary school kids who were very cute waiting for the parade dancing and tring to get all the big trucks that passed to do thier horns. They would all scream and cheer with excitement after every horn. It really was cute.

Bailey Waiting for the Parade.

Josh was in charge of the faculty float.( it is a tradition to make the new guy have that responsibility, not too tough though.)

All the Royalty couples went through the parade on the hood of different cute cars. and the classes were on the flatbed semis.
Then that night was the Varsity football game which they lost, but they did really good, they only lost by like a point or two. I dont know. I cant remember the point sytem and stuff. So um yeah, good times in a small town!
