Boy or Girl?

We went back to the hospital yesterday to have another Ultrasound to try and find out what we are having. And it worked, we saw loud and clear! FINALLY!

We are having a little GIRL!

We were so shocked! No part of me thought that I was having a girl. Josh and I both thought it was a boy. We have been calling the baby Tyler ,which I guess still could be her name but it was meant for our little boy. We are so excited to be having a little girl even though we really, really wanted a little boy.

Poor little Bailey was a bit confused about her baby changing from a boy to a girl. I had to explain to her that it never really was a boy, we just thought that it was. The girls are excited to be having a sister. They ask me almost every day when the baby is going to come out. Sorry girls, I still 3 months to go.

So anyways, that at the top is my fave picture of her. I think it is so cute. If you cant tell that is her little face on the left.

Girly Time

Grandma Stewart got the girls and I a gift Certificate to get our nails done at Joshs Aunt Cheryls for Valentines. So we got an appt. for yesterday morning , and the girls were so excited. They had been talking about what color they were going to get for like a week. I went first while the girls played Lincoln Logs, and it was very relaxing. Bailey was next, she really seemed to like it and was being really good and holding still...

... That is until it was time to put he hands in the nail dryer. She was wiggling a bit too much and ended up messing up the two thimbnails. After the dryer she was still so wild and would not sit still. I kept trying so hard to occupy her without messing up my nails and trying to keep hers from getting worse. Bailey went with purple polish and got little white flowers.

Callie went last and of course talked Cheryls ear off while she got her mani. She was getting a bit wiggly too towards the end, but luckily made it through without messing any of them up. She was so excited to go to school afterwards and show her friends and teacher. Callies fave color is gold and she wanted to do gold, but ended up picking more of a brownish goldish something or other. Its now a very kidish color, but its cute. She also got the same flowers done as Bailey.Here is the finished Callie nails.

We all had a good time, but I think we will leave Bailey home if we go again until she gets a bit older.

Twins?

So I know this is random, but it is something I have noticed recently. While watching Sportscenter (well, not really watching but more kind of just being in the room while its on) they had a thing on Kobe Bryants hurt finger and I looked at Kobe and was freaked out by what I saw. I mean is it just me or does Kobe totally look like Lance (my bro.)?

Okay so I dont have a close up of Lance and I could only find this little one of Kobe, but it is there I swear.

Next time you see them you might notice.

Oh, and by the way I just wanted to say that I am not a Kobe fan. I actually think he is quite obnoxious.

Sunday Nap

So this year we have the early church (9:00) and so today we tried to bring back the Sunday afternoon family naps. We did nap but it was so not worth the effort. We havent had these for about a year and as soon Josh told the girls that they had to have a nap Callie started whinning. Is it just me or does whinning get more and more obnoxious as the kid gets older? Bailey seemed game at first but pretty soon she was telling us that taking a nap was "Ignoinin' Me." Which we all laughed at the first couple of times. So we tried playing the quiet game and she said ready, set, go and about 2 secs later said "lets play the loud game." We tried to play log too, but that of course didnt work. Then Josh told the girls that we could go to Grandmas if they took a little nap. They both got quiet, but after a min. Bailey says "lets just stay home." What finally got her was when we said that if she didnt sleep then she couldnt have any treats and we bought Oreos and she could have some when she wakes up. She def. wanted the "Aireos", so she laid down and she was the first one asleep. So after about 2 hours from when we first laid down, Bailey had had a good nap, I had a crappy 20 mins or so on the foot of bed I was laying on, who knows if Callie slept or not, but Josh did get a nap because he stayed asleep when I got up with the girls. Yeah,so not worth it! I guess our days of both of us getting to nap on sundays are over.

Giants Win!

As I am sure you all Know, Super Bowl XLII was last night. Josh is a HUGE Giants Fan. After church yesterday, we all got on our Giants shirts and such and got ready for the big game. We had a few friends and their children come over. It was fun we ate a lot and watched some football. We had Brats, homemade french fries (with fry sauce of course), my fave bean dip, Kookaburra licorice, and homemade salsa, fruit pizza ( its a dessert thing) and cookies. Yummy!



I know very little about the actual game of football, but Josh is such a fanatic that I know quite a bit about some players and teams and all the hoopla and media stuff and such around sports. I saw so much SB media coverage in the last week I could puke. I would be glad its over, but now we will have to watch all the post game talk. But, It was a really good game last night. Especially because the Giants won and even more so because the Patriots lost. The Patriots had won every game they played this season up until last night and all the sports media people predicted that the Patriots would win. It was so exciting. Its not his initial reaction though I got the camera ready at the very end of the game to catch the real excitement, but his real reaction was to shoot across the room. Neither me or my camera are that quick. You will have to excuse the lovely pit stains, it was a very intense game for Josh.
