Today while I was making dinner Marlee Came and got the kids scissors and some thread and told me she was going to make me a craft. When I went to check on her 5 mins later I noticed some hair on the ground. And then some more. And then yet a little bit more. Im just happy that it is not as bad as it could have been!

Greenlei's 1st Birthday

Green Bean turned 1 this week! We had Grandma and Grandpa Stewart, and Jade and her boyfriend TJ (not to be confused with Josh's brother TJ, that would be gross) over for dinner. It was good times, Josh made Tilapia and mashed potatoes and yorkshire puddings. | After dinner she opened her presents. |

| Her card from the Stewarts sings the winnie the pooh theme song when you open it, which she loved. |
| Josh and I got her this cute little car. you put little palls in a hole on the steering wheel, and you can make them shoot out the front. |
She started off slow and cautious, but eventually got into the cupcake and made a nice mess.
| Here she is all cleaned up after the cupcake and in one of her new outfits and her new bracelets. Such a cutie. |

My Two Front Teeth
Well, not mine, but Marlees. A year and a half ago Mars fell off her chair onto the tile and smacked her teeth and chipped one of them. The chipped tooth had a bubble on the gums above it this week, so I called and asked about it. They had me bring her in this morning and the dentist said that because of the trauma, the tooth slowly died and now needed to be removed. X-rays showed that the other tooth was headed towards the same thing, so he recommended removing both. So thats what he did. And here is the result:
Cute! I mean I would rather she had teeth, but oh well. She did really, really good And did everything they told her with no tears! This was a shocker since her last appointment she screamed the whole time and I had to hold her down and pry her mouth open While he took a quick peek.
We went to Target afterwards and I told her I would get her a little treat for being so good. She told me she didnt want clothes cause she has enough already and she is sick of clothes, but then looking through clearance she saw this Minnie shirt and had to have it. Not bad for $3.80.
Then she worked it and also got this little Squinkies thing, also on Clearance for $5.08. Mommies little bargain shopper! Well, here's to hoping that Greenlei will be our child that doesn't have any tooth mishaps.

8 Almost 9 Months
So, my little Green Bean is almost 9 months, and i've been meaning to post since like 6 months. Sorry mom. She is pretty stinkin adorable as you can see. She started crawling right around thanksgiving (so like 7 - 7 1/2 mos.) She crawled kinda funny at first, one leg would stay kinda tucked in and she would push with the other, but she crawls correctly now. By the end of the next week she was pulling herself to standing on the furniture, and sometime between then and now she started cruising around the furniture. ( I know, my record keeping is immpeccable!)
Here is a good view up her nose. Look, no boogies! She is really hard to photograph though, she is really wiggly.
She loved playing in the presents before Christmas and she caused a few tears in the wrapping. I thought it was cute, Bailey not so much. ( Girl can freak over the silliest things!)
And here she is gagging on her dinner. This is a common occurence still. She really doesnt like much. Cheerios, rice, bread, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. Thats it. There were some people on Anderson one day that were adults and they only eat like hashbrowns and something else I cant remember because they cant stand most things. I think Greenlei may have whatever issue those jokers had. Hopefully not.
She is totally sweet and fun. She has always been really good about just relaxing and playing instead of constantly wanting held and entertained like the others. So nice! She sucks at sleeping though, really not a good sleeper. And is a bit rediculous with the separation anxiety, which makes it really hard everytime she is not with me (unless she is in the bath, then she is happy wether I am there or not).

Halloween
Halloween this year Mars bars went as a Paper Doll (which I think turned out pretty darn cute.)
Green Bean was a ghost. ( learned the hard way that black sharpie does not dry to duct tape and smudges and gets on everything else, so we just went with gray.)
Bailey wanted to be an evil scientist. (so she could rat her hair like crazy.)
Cal went with a last minute decision of 50s girl. ( the skirt should look familiar to some.)
Here is a shot of Greenlei and myself in the car while the others ran up to a door.
Here is everyone else pushing through the extreme wind to get up to a house.( a really gorgeous, big house.)
So, we had a lot of fun I think. Bailey didnt want to do the trunk or treat thing, so we just went door to door around our hood and the next hood over. ( the weller off people hood.) Heres the deal though; Halloween around here kinda really stinks, heres why:
Here is everyone else pushing through the extreme wind to get up to a house.( a really gorgeous, big house.)a. The weather sucks! Some years there is snow, last year it rained, this year- riddikulus winds.
2. Houses are not generally close together.
3. Horribly long driveways are very common.
4. There needs to be some kind of dang universal signal that you are home and have candy, and another for not home, dont have candy, or just want to be left alone!( Cause if I run up your long dang driveway with a 3 year old who's paper dress is blowing away, someone better be giving up some kind of dang treat!)
So I think from now on we will be sticking to trunk or treats in our snow boots and such instead of the door to door, but we really did have fun despite the above list. Probably because Marlee laughed the whole sprint up every driveway, and was so excited and always came back and told the adult who stayed in the car with Greenlei that they gave her candy (like she was still in shock that it was happening.)
