For Grandma Julie

Grandma Julie wanted an update on the kiddies, so here it is in random order: We saw Santa at the ward Christmas Party, Callie told him she wants a robe and a pillow pet.

Marlee told him she wants a Kitty (no way in Hell)

and Bailey told him she wants a blizzard maker.

This is from cutting down our trees, this year was a little different : a. we did this completly in the light b. we had already gotten so much snow this year that we had to cram everybody on a snowmobile and go into the canyon instead of driving.

Heres the girls watching Josh cut down the tree.

Marlee. I just thought this was cute until I looked closer at her nose!

Josh and the girls made a snowman, I think it looks like Wow Wow Wubbzy.

Mars helped too but came in long before it was done.

pumpkins

We Carved pumpkins tonight. (note to self: never ever tell Bailey that you are going to do something unless and until you are ready to go and do it right that second!) It was a good time, however I always forget how long it takes to get all of the crap out of the inside. It was pretty hard getting a decent picture of the girls tonight. this was the better of the pics of Cal. we had some good laughs over the facial expressions.

This was the better of Bailey because you cant see the dinner all over her face.

Here is Marlee's, she drew a face on the pumpkin ( that nobody could see) and then Josh carved it out for her. please excuse the lack of appropriate clothing (yes, she is in her underpants), she told me that her pants hurt her, and I am too tired to argue or to go get her new pants. and excuse the dinner face again, I am too tired to fix it and I have a really sore throat. ( are those reasons good enough for my lack of parenting and total laziness?)

Hot Air Balloon

This is a week or so old, but I just uploaded the pics and thought they were cool. A hot air balloon landed right in front of the house that is next to us. I would imagine that this was not their intended landing spot, but it was pretty exciting for us. Marlee loved it, and I had a hard time talking her into going inside after we had watched them get the balloon down and roll it all up.

My cousin by marriage Jade took me and the girls to do a little photo shoot in the mountains last night. Heres just a few of the shots, but I thnk they turned out really cute!
Callies hair looks awesome (thats cause Jade did it not me). I did the other two though and they look okay, right?

So cute, Marlee was a pain in the butt. we would tell her to smile and she would put on a grumpy face.

Big News!

K so last night Callie ate an APPLE!

So most of you are probably like wow, who cares, but for those who know how Callie is about fruit ever since baby food, this is a big deal. This is the first apple she has eaten willingly.

And no she didnt eat the whole thing, but she did really good. Progress my friends this is big progress.

In other news, Josh and i had to speak in church today, which is bad enough on its own, but just wait. You see, we were speaking along with another couple and not given topics. So the other couple is first and as soon as she starts giving her talk, I realize that she has prepared the exact same conference message from Pres. Monson. I was freaking out, I about cried thinking I was going to get up there with nothing left to say and look like a fool. So she ended up giving the first half of my talk and then kinda moved on to other stuff, so thank goodness. I pretty much just gave the second part of the talk which probably didnt come out coherent because I wassuper nervous from the moment I realized my talk was taken. Then when I go to sit down Marlee announced that she had to go poop, so her and I took the long walk out of the chapel and I pretty much didnt get to hear Joshs talk, but Im sure it was fabulous as always. The End.

Baileys First Day of Kindergarten

Heres Bailey on her first day of School. I completly frogot to get the camera out before we took Callie to school So I earned the Mom of the year on that. But heres Bay all cute, she was really excited and loves school so far.

And...

Here was today, her first day of being Late to school. She came and found me at about 10:30 looking like this with this comb stuck in her hair. I worked on it for a while and got a tiny bit undone and couldnt figure out how to get the rest out so we called Jade (My fave cousin by marriage) to come help us.

Jade saved the day. We pretty much had to cut as much of the comb away as we could and get the hair off a little at a time. When the come was finally out she was left with a big fat clump of knots, which Jade eventually worked them out. We lost a little hair, broke a pair of scissors and it took forever, but at least we didnt have to cut her some very short bangs. And she made it to school only a half hour late at 12:30.
